• Wash the Stainless Steel Set:
  • Clean the stainless steel set with warm soapy water before use.
• Prepare Seeds:
  • For seeds, use 2 – 3 tbsp; for beans, use ½ – 1 cup.
  • Place the seeds in the bottom tray and pour fresh water over them.
  • Let them soak for about 8 – 12 hours.
• Transfer to Sprouting Tray:
  • Pour the saturated seeds into the sprouting tray.
  • Spread them evenly and rinse with fresh water. A water sprayer in your sink can help distribute seeds evenly.
  • Place the lid on the tray.
• Rinse Every 8 – 12 Hours:
  • Rinse the seeds with fresh water twice a day.
  • Tilt the tray to remove excess water, promoting sprout health.
  • Sprouts will begin to emerge in 1 to 3 days, allowing them to grow to your preferred length.
• Keep the Lid On:
  • Keep the lid on as much as possible. Sprouts don’t need light to grow.
  • Remove the lid at the end of the growing cycle for a touch of green. Note that this “greening” process may result in a bitter flavor.
• Harvesting:
  • Once sprouts reach your desired length, they are ready to be harvested.
  • Gently pull the sprouts out with your fingers.
  • Roots are edible. Some sprouts, like Brassicas, may appear fungus-like on the roots, but it’s a natural part of the root, not fungus.
• Storage:
  • Store sprouts in the refrigerator.
  • For longer freshness, avoid watering them about 8 hours before harvesting to prevent excessive moisture.
